TEA

Folks...I know it has been quite sometime...and my deepest apologies for the song that I can't seem to figure out how to remove. My sister has given me some major flack for it. Great song...just not 12,000 times. Man so much to blog, so little time. I am a little nervous to be back in the blogging world until I realize that my mom and dad are my biggest fans. (quite possibly the only readers).
With that all said...Kelly visited me this weekend and we had an amazing time. We went to "high tea" at Pelican Hill and for some reason our posture became super straight and vocabulary words I haven't remembered since SAT days started to come out. We ended up drinking tea for 3 hours...
Pelican Hill...so pretty

Amy joined us Saturday night and we all three had a great time. We were living off of frozen yogurt and coffee throughout the weekend. Can't wait for another Kelly visit!

LifeOrganizers.com

There is something about this website that makes me feel so good...I am not quite sure why...maybe because it inspires me to be a Type A person for about 5 min...I am not sure.  All I know is I like it.

People

PEOPLE ARE HURTING...

Last week I was at the District studying for a class. I was eating lunch, by myself, at a table and was listening to a table of ladies talk. The entire time these ladies were gossiping brutally about a fellow co-worker. They made this woman sound like Satan...they were basically ripping her to shreds behind her back. What was awkward was they had nothing else to say but gossip. They would be quiet for a while...awkwardly eat their lunch and then one would say some bad story about this "wretched lady" and then the rest would chime in. It make me wonder how many times I partake in conversations about other people and how much I kill others with my words. I was literally embarrassed for these ladies and how catty they sounded.

I then walked to a nice fountain and began reading and sat next to this older couple. They looked like they were in their late 50's early 60's. As I was "overhearing/spying" on their conversations it was obvious that this couple was in desperate times. Here they were in their designer sunglasses...looking sharp and yet were homeless. As I overheard their conversations with credit card companies, via cell phone, my heart began to feel sad by their burdens. Here they were talking about how much credit card debt they have, and they didn't even have a address to give out as they are living in a hotel. I also heard the man calling other companies to ask about the resume he had sent. Then I heard the woman scold the man and say how he is being lazy and just sulks and watches the news all day. She was basically tearing his character down and telling him how much he was a failure. It was a weird conversation I was overhearing and made me feel like I was violating their privacy. It also made me wonder how many people are having those same conversations in their homes...

Needless to say I didn't get much studying done as I looked around and realized people are hurting!

MEXICO

Hello Blogging World! I am back...Happy 2009! I had to take a break for various reasons...but I have regrouped and am back in action!

2009 has been filled with many interesting as well as exciting adventures.

A few weekends ago some girlfriends and I went down to the Philp's Mexico Beach House...let's just say it is the closest thing to Heaven. Every morning you wake-up in the most comfortable beds and the sounds of waves. Get your morning coffee and literally stare out at the water for a few hours as well as have some quality conversations. Everything in life seems so much clearer when you are at the beach.

Here is view of our mornings :)

Meghan and I decided to kayak out towards this big rock in the middle of the ocean where seals hang out. The rock is a 1 mile out in the middle of the ocean. We started to venture out and once we were almost to the rock I started to realize that sharks eat seals...and that we were right next to seals. I also started to relive every Jaws scene known to man and was trying to remember what to do in the event of a shark attack. I also realized in those moments that we were in Mexico and that there is not such thing as a coast guard in mexico!! I was extremely thankful that we made it back alive. I am so glad we did it and I never want to do it again.
